Clinton Global Initiative University leaves indelible mark on WUSTL

The sixth annual Clinton Global Initiative University (CGI U) was held on campus Friday through Sunday, April 5-7, bringing more than 1,200 students from 75 countries and all 50 states to exchange ideas and solutions to effect real change to pressing global issues. The weekend was a whirlwind exchange of ideas and inspirations, but now is when the real work begins: Making change happen. CGI U gave the participants – 200 of whom were WUSTL students – a much-needed boost. ?

Brain-building gene plays key role in gut repair??

A gene with a colorful name mindbomb 1 – plays a key role far beyond the brain. New research at the School of Medicine shows that mindbomb 1 may be involved in repairing cells injured by infection or inflammation in the stomach and pancreas. Researchers also found hints that mindbomb 1 may have connections to cancer in those organs.

to give Tyrrell Williams Lecture Thursday?

Stephen H. Legomsky, JD, DPhil, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services chief counsel, plans to discuss the evolving topic of immigration law Thursday, April 11. Legomsky will present the 2012-13 Tyrrell Williams Lecture, “Immigration and the Role of the Government Attorney.”?

The Congress of the South 40 held its annual Residential College Olympics on the South 40 Swamp March 30. The day began with a 5K run and included a variety of fun games such as tug-of-war. ?
